Yes, you can change the status of a quote in several ways. Quotes go through a lifecycle of statuses:
Draft -- The quote has been created but not sent to the client.
Awaiting Response -- The quote has been sent and you are waiting for the client to respond.
Approved -- The client has approved the quote (or you marked it as approved).
Changes Requested -- The client has requested changes to the quote.
Converted -- The quote has been converted into an invoice.
Here is how to change statuses:
- Draft to Awaiting Response: Click Send to email or text the quote to your client, or use More Actions > Mark as Sent.
- Awaiting Response to Approved: Your client can approve the quote from their link, or you can click More Actions > Mark as Approved on the quote detail page.
- Awaiting Response to Draft: Click More Actions > Revoke to Draft to pull the quote back to draft status (only available if no deposit has been collected).
- Approved to Converted: Click Convert to Invoice on the quote detail page to create an invoice from the approved quote.
You can also Archive a quote from any status using the More Actions dropdown.
On the Mobile App
You can change quote statuses directly from the mobile app. Open the Quotes tab at the bottom of the screen, then tap a quote to view it.
- Draft to Awaiting Response: Tap Send Quote at the bottom of the quote detail screen to email or text it, or tap More > Mark as Sent.
- Awaiting Response to Approved: Your client can approve from their link, or tap More > Mark as Approved.
- Awaiting Response to Draft: Tap More > Revoke to Draft (only available if no deposit has been collected).
- Approved to Converted: Tap Convert to Invoice at the bottom of the quote detail screen. You will be asked to set an invoice due date.
To archive or delete a quote, tap More at the bottom of the quote detail screen for additional actions.
